Hi all,

Just got the car and i came home couple hours ago. its muggy weather in england, shock and i went back to the car i turned on ignition and the aircon came on. Then I look later and seen this small patch of water.

Just want to be sure since car booked in for res delete

Cheers all

I haven't got a MK3 but I am pretty sure thats nothing to be worried about and completely normal, i have see it on many cars before.

I am sure someone with a MK3 will confirm.

just went back out to the car and it’s dried. Thank god. Confirmed with same GTI MK7 position of tbe ac drain

Glad its nothing, things to keep an eye out for:
-PCV valve & connecting hose, PCV should be serviced every 60k km (37k miles)
-The diverter valve will break over time, recommended to upgrade to a GFB or something similar
-Check if DSG oil + filter has been serviced
-Keep up with your oil changes

Check the link for my build thread, I did a lot of work/preventative maintenance already, there are also how-to videos on my YT channel (link also in my signature)

I will take a look at the PVC

I’ve heard Cam magnets are good to do. Is that both or just 1?

DSG and front diff done and care came serviced

I’ll have a look at the YT cheers

Looks cool in white.
Let us know how you get on with the res/del - price and after sound etc…

Ah I forgot about those, it will be 2 on your car. Also made a how-to video on those:
