Spring Detail on the FR

Gave her the 1st proper detail this weekend, started on Good Friday looking quite shabby

The engine, door shuts, arches & under the sills were all sprayed with Megs Safe Degreaser & left to dwell whilst I fired up the jet wash..

A blanket of Snow foam was added after I'd given her a good blasting & remove most of the contaminents

P1010291.jpg

I then rinsed her off using Aquagleam filtered water & rolled her inside.

Paper towels in effect to catch any runouts

I then Clayed her using Sonus Green Fine Clay, the roof was the worst area

The clay left a little light marring, but that was expected.....

Lucky me I cut the bar in half

The car was then taped up where needed & hit with the PC, using a LAKE finnessing pad & some Dodo Lime Prime.

This was followed by a coat of Jetseal109 & a layer of Dodo Blue Velvet

Then Saturday

Another layer of Dodo Blue Velvet was added & left to cure whilst I attacked other areas..

I used a trolly jack to get the wheels off the ground & ease inner cleaning, & also to help get in the arches

I used Megs UQD (Pollycharged) on the wheels

P1010353.jpg

Arches were treated to Megs All Season Dressing, & the tyres to Endurance Gel ...

P1010359.jpg

The engine bay was treated to a wipe down with Megs UQD, this maintained the OEM look, not silky shiney as some stuff can leave it

P1010362.jpg

The curing Dodo BV was treated to a spritz of Victoria Carnuaba QD & another layer of Dodo BV add on top, this was then buffed off, followed by another wipe down with the Victoria QD to remove any missed bits.

Best of all, I fitted my new CUPRA black surround grill

So much better than the debadged one I had on, I also have a honeycomb backing grill on its way, shame it wasnt here already, the grill is a PITA to get out.
