Just another quick guide for anyone who's been thinking of fitting a polyurethane bush insert to the lower engine mount, also known as the dogbone mount. This mod is quick and easy to do, with minimal tools and skill needed. In total it took me around 15 minutes.
What you will...
Please can someone clear this up for me, just got back from a week in Devon and my Powerflex dogbone arrangement was waiting in a package from AMD.
I opened it up and it says BMW-Mini on the bushes packaging? Have I received the right one for my LCR?

Hi, i have decided to uprate the dogbone mount on my lcr. Have been reading about it and some people have just replaced the bushes for polybushes saying that this gives the same gains. Is it necesary to uprate the whole mount, or can i just uprate the bushes for the gains i am after? Also where...

Alrighty!
Last week I had all four front suspension bushes on my LCR replaced with the Powerflex PVC bushes after a recent service advised that the originals were close to ruin. I also had the front engine dogbone mount replaced with the Powerflex part.
When the original dogbone mount was...

Hi guys, hoping someone can help?!?!
Got a 2003/03 1.9Tdi Sport (130)(chipped to 170bhp) and am getting alot of movement (back to front) from the engine in the bay (so bad it has started pulling the intercooler pipe off on a regular basis! even when driving ‘sensibly’)

It was suggested to me last week that an uprated dogbone mount could help get more power down and reduce wheelspin/wheelhop somewhat.
Doing a search, there is so much info here but it all got a bit confusing going from thread to thread so I thought I'd ask again (sorry). :headhurt:

+ massively reduced wheel 'hop' when the fronts break traction
- Bit more noise and vibration when pulling away at low speeds but barely noticeable. Has the bizarre effect of making the exhaust seem louder.
Didn't notice any change in throttle response or anything like...
