Hi all. New to the forum as I bought a 64 plate Leon FR 184 2.0 diesel.
Like the title suggests, a massive thank you to this forum.
I bought my Leon from Evans Halshaw Ford Grantham.
Had a couple of issues with it, and one of those issues this forum has helped fix. So thank you very much...
hi all,
right i had the car fitted with a new cambelt, tensioner and waterpump yesterday, i also got them to fit a new Demon silicone TIP. I picked the car up and thought the TIP was causing me more lag and really didnt do much at all. The boost didnt seem to push you back in the seat like it...
I know this has probably been covered many times, I just want peace of mind asking again lol. Basically driving the car normal, the temperature gauge sits at 90c, I boot it and it creeps up to the 105c mark or just over pretty quick, then I cruise again, or roll along in neutral and it will drop...
hi just wanted to let you guys know i managed to get seat northampton to reduce the price even more for 60k cambelt waterpump change, total price £320 not bad considering it started at 400!! friendly and helpful down there tough, give them a call;)
Hi all
Ive seen threads on this countless times, but never any outcome. Basically a couple of weeks ago, my temperature light started beeping and flashing red, i thought, weird, and the coolany was very low, hardly anything in there, so i topped it up with antifreeze and a little more water...
Well, half way through doing my cambelt on my ibiza 2003 1.9 TDI ASZ Engine.
And all was going well until i come to swap the waterpump. I tried to pop the new one in and it was a no-go.....
The impellar was too big, and even if the impellar went in im not sure that the seal would have...
Hi guys. Just got a quote for my 1997 ibiza gti 2.0ltr 16v for the cambelt to be done as i dont know when it was done i know i must get it changed.
I got a quote of 215
I then asked about the waterpump and i got a quote of 150 bringing it to a total of 365.
I thought this was expensive so...
I know this has been covered before but how much havepeople paid for the two to be changed?
I have just been quoted £466.12 by my local Seat dealers where I got the car from, seems a bit steep to me :(
i suspect my water pump on my seat gti is gubbed symptoms are the top hose on the rad is roasting hot bottom one is a lot cooler as is the radiator when i bought the car it lay on my drive through the winter with no antifreeze(seller hadnt added any i assume) as the radiator hoses were solid...
Hi peeps,
Is it best to get the job done at the seat stealers to get some sort of security on the job? or can any VAG garage do it with some sort of warranty??
How much can I expect to be paying?(I paid £303 for my polo at VW)
60k service is due now so getting cambelt and water pump done together, car won't be going to stealers as they're pants, where do you get the brass waterpumps? are they are a seat part or would they just give you the plastic type again.
cheers
hi guys my 04 LCR i think has the dreaded water pump failure
driving along itshoots to 120degree's then when on idle drops to 90 within 2 mins.
Now iv heard the coolant sensors can fail??
I drove the car for 2 miles this morning and it reached 110-120 i pulled over and opened the...
Just drove home and the car started beaping at me and the temp gauge was at silly figures. I initially thought i had lost all the coolant but it was still there. So i let the car cool down and plodded home. With the car just over 90 maybe closer to 100 on the temp gauge. Had a closer look at...
These are the three things that could be wrong with my car!
PROBLEM - I was driving to work when I noticed I was down on power :censored: looked at my dash to see the temp rising above 90 deg so I shat my self and pulled over. Within a minute the temp was back to normal (the fans were on)...
