i have been quoted roughly £400 +vat for a timing belt change, w/pump and a full service i.e oils and filters ect. oh and change the brake fluid too. what do you think? is this a good price? all parts will be geanuine and the quote is from a vw specialist garage.
the car being serviced is a ibiza cupra tdi if that makes anydifferense.

Mine was about £450 all in so it sounds about right for a specialist/dealer.

Belt alone is £168 fitted at a dealer so add the tensioner, water pump etc and it's more like £240, MOTs aren't cheap these days plus you are getting service and brake fluid too so I would say that's a good price for a specialist.

Mine was also about £450 all in on my FR TDI, so that sounds reasonable. mine was done at JKM - top guys there!

I use JKM in Pompey also... here is the service price page from their website for comparison http://www.jkmperformance.co.uk/performance/service.htm
