OK, scenario: You've got a standard Leon Cupra, untouched. You have Circa £600 burning a hole in your pocket for performance upgrades. What do you do?

You want good bang for buck, but don't want a problematic car after spending that money.

wow, you have been patient then!

Remap, DV, short shift, dog bone mount

that'll be your budget blown :)

Isn't that for people that know what they're doing? Or at least know what they want....

There is no magic on a standard remap, all the products are fairly similar

Forget all the buzz words (in particular Custom, Tailored and Generic which meant nowt at this stage.....)

You need to decide what is important to you Pro's and Con's e.g. some to switching back to a 'standard' setting handy for servicing, some have security features etc....then the other things Customer Service and If being local to you is important.

A remap will cost £395 I think

Highly recommend getting Dog bone engine mount and a shortshifter for the gear box.

I have just got a 2nd hand but mint Forge DV and Carbonio CAI induction kit for £160 for both!

That is the price of a brand new Carbonio!

Itd all about patience,i was in no rush as im not fitting till warranty runs out in 1 month anyway!

Gonna get a recharge kit for the Filter,k&n or equivalant and it will be sorted!

Filter is only 2000 miles old anyway!

So is a short shifter really worth it?

I had one on my old 106 GTI and it was annoying cos it made it difficult to get into second gear at a fast rate.
