According to my handheld GPS, my speedo was spot-on on the standard 205/45/16 Sport wheels & tyres. The only car I've owned with an accurate speedo...
id agree with that my gps and speedo match pretty well if anything the speedo shows slower than youre real speed by 1-2 mph

Same here!
My satnav speed was almost the same as the speedo within 1-2 mph.
When I get upto the Santapod strip it will be interesting to see the difference across the line?

I got a 6.64 and a couple of 6.8's in my cupra when it was standard - so I'm not surprised by your results with a remapped 130. The car, now remapped is just as quick at santa pod as my old fiat coupe turbo until about 75 mph when you have to snap a change to 4th. I reckon I could see very low 6's to 60 now - traction really isn't too bad if you feed in the power - doing a quick burnout too helps the tyres stick to the strip, although I'm not sure it'd help on the road.

I suppose weight is a big issue on the strip aswell, I wonder how much weight could be lost, taking the rear seats out, spare wheel, etc.

Although Civic_legend, your terminal speed is a few mph down on what i got,
maybe due to the maps?

I don't think I changed up early enough basically - I got a perfect launch and then almost revved it like a petrol all the way down the strip out of excitement! You'll find if you get a really good launch your terminal tends to be a couple of mph down on a bad start. I had terminals of up to about 95-96 mph on some of the other runs, simply cos the car has longer to accelerate.

sounds good my car to 65 (for arguments sakes take 6.3-5 a ibiza with 175 should be looking at 6.9-7.2 surely not 6.38 when a ibiza cupra 1.8T 180 suppose to be 7.2?

unless you have a mad remapp with those figures i would suggust you are running alot mare power than you think 175 more like 190 to acheive those results?

I haven't had the car dyno'd yet, I had it custom coded, but it was over boosting at high revs and going into limp mode, when i had my stainless exhaust put on, so i had the boost parameters altered and the boost settings tweaked, its been fine since.

I might try to get it dyno'd in the near future, to see how its running

I would be surprised if you had as 'little' as 175 bhp... Had mine done at Powerstation, Tewkesbury - power on the day was actually 208 bhp, but corrected to 200 as it was so cold.

Why wouldn't it be possible? Standard given times are mostly slower then measured times.
With my standard FR tdi I had a 8,11sec 0-60mph on the G-tech.

My previous ibiza tdi110 with 145hp and 350Nm did a 7,18sec on the G-tech and 15,62sec 1/4mile at the drag strip.Must say that the backseat and everything that was unnecessary was removed.
