00283 abs help!!!!

hello, i had some funny feedback/grinding in my foot while breaking so pulled over to inspect and nothing seemed out of place so carried on and the problem was still there,

5 minutes later my traction control light and abs light come on, im obviously thinking the worst so pull over get my ebay scanner out and i got 00283 which is the front left speed senor.

also got 16804 and 17968 there engine codes and honestly i havent searched them as yet,

anyone had same problems or could anyone offer any advice as im about 45 miles away from home and i dont no if its safe to drive

the feedback/grinding has stopped since the lights have come on

Are your brake pads metal on metal??

disks and pads are fine, its all gone back ok now no idea whats up but ill get the mechanic to look at it tomorrow

Is this solved, cus i have the same problem, nothing wrong with my brakes but TCS is also burning and cant turn it off..

I checked the abs connection and mine has signs of wear so I'm going to start with replacing that

Its probably just broken ABS sensor...very cheap on ebay, 15-20 quid i think.

The grinding is your ABS kicking in. Mine was doing it, but it was because my ABS sensors looked like this.

Check to see if your wheels have rubbed through the sensor cables or if your sensors are mashed.
