02 leon cupra key fob failed

i have the remote key with 2 buttons on it if you push either one of the buttons the red light will flash on and off if you keep your finger on it ....BUT it wont open or lock the door can anyone help please

it could have lost its code
try recoding it, do you have 2 keys?

Look in your owners manual. The instructions to recode the key to the CL are there. You will need the use of the spare key to complete the instructions.
