A bean bag
I installed a 034 motorsport lower engine mount on Friday. Really easy install (5 mins with a lift and the correct tools).

On first drive I couldn’t believe the difference. The car just feels sharper especially the gear changes and getting the power down. I have 3.5mm left on my Conti 5s which I don’t really rate and even these are managing to get the power down better. I am confident with new tires in the wet the wheel hop will be gone.

The insert does introduce some vibration when setting off, if the engine is labouring or in reverse. However this has drastically reduced now I have put another 100 miles on over the weekend. I’m aware of it because I drive the car but the Mrs hasn’t said anything. I’d say the pro’s far far outweigh the cons.

So with this combined with the clutch bleed valve mode and my extended clutch stop I actually enjoy driving manual again. I was very very close to chopping the car in for a Golf R. This has changed my mind and I’m going to keep the car for at least another 9 months.

I've probably only experienced wheel a handful of times since installing the neuspeed torque arm insert since December. Must do mod imo!
The wheel hop would deter me to go anywhere near the throttle in the wet/damp conditions!
I don't even notice the extra vibrations anymore

For such a small mod it really does make for a sharper car.
I'll be interested to see what my 0-60 is when I finally get round to testing with springs and a stage 1 later in the year!

I am interested in doing this myself. What tools specifically would i need? would be cheaper to just pay someone to install it?

Must haves : 21mm socket and torque wrench, silicon spray and jack stands . Or , if you're ghetto you can mount the car on a high curb

They are different but they
do the same thing, despite being different materials.

& You don't use them in tandem

Ok thanks

I guess the 034motorsport is better for performance and the plastic part is mid way between the 034motorsport and stock?

I nipped into awesome and they identified which type it was as there are two. I'll see if it is on the invoice.
I then took it to a local garage and he had it on the in around 5 mins including lifting up and lowering the car. Didn't need grease. It just slots into the original rubber mount.
Few days later still loving it.

Which version of the 034 torque mount will i need for a 2016 Leon cupra 290? i dont have jacks to lift the car up yet

He just charged me for half an hours labor. I think if they'd known it was going to be so easy they'd have done I for free. Awesome we're fully booked.

Which garage did you go to in the end to get it done? Looking at doing it asap :)

Are you Liverpool base? I took it to one in Birkenhead called RH Autos? Any garage should be able to do it though.

Off topic but is the driver side brake calliper internal brake pad the one fitted with the sensor ?? Brembo have sent the wrong ones ffs

Ps nice to know it makes a difference just order the Revo engine mount and the torque mount about £99 a piece
