But the pesky cross member was in the way.

Not to worry

Also took the opportunity to remove the sound deadening until my heat gun died

So now it fits perfectly

Tomorrow will see it wired up and the seat and extinguisher in.

And a few photos to show more of the metal I've been removing. Not much left to go now

Drilling spot welds is a killer. But it's getting ever closer to being caged

It'll be lovelier when it's finished, don't worry. It looks bad now because it's mid progress

My mates crx engined mg zr rally car looked the same when he was fitting his cage and ripping it apart but it's all the same colour now and it looks the nuts, best noise I've herd from a mg zr also :)

I've been getting quite fed up of my Audi daily recently so I thought bout changing it. But I've got about a million things I'd rather spend money on at the minute so I decided I'll tart it up a wee bit.

Start with these

I think I'm going to fit B5 spring cups to drop the front 10-15mm as the front is higher than the back. And going to get a few bits painted to tidy it up

Why is it cars are never happy

Done a few bits and pieces to the Clio this week, it's all good

The Audi got two new front wheel bearings and a set of b5 spring cups. While doing that, I noticed that I need a lower arm, I have a snapped pinch bolt and it looks like I need a cv joint.

Got the decat pipe fitted yesterday and got it mapped. The difference is unbelievable. About 3 hours after that, the exhaust y pipe decided to give up, so looks like I need a full system. That's another £600 or so.

Progress on the Ibiza has slowed down for the foreseeable future
