Do these keep breaking for anyone else?

Replaced the original item a few months ago as it had snapped, fair enough its been on the car for 10 years. Now the replacement has also snapped in much the same way. Is it likely a part fault as i cant reason what else would cause it?

Was it a genuine VAG part? As those eBay copies are absolute garbage.

EDIT: although that seller has been ok for parts with me in the past. But for small parts like that I'd just stick with genuine stuff.

Ebay job from Volksbits. I have requested a replacement from them, should I just order a genuine item?

Just edited my above post. Volkbits are usually ok, but for plastic parts like that, copies tend to crap.

I`ve also upgraded the pcv system to silicone items from creation but i doubt they would cause it to snap

Just to add. Volksbits will not replace the item unless I send the broken part back to them first. In effect i have to buy a replacement and get the garage to swap them over all because of their fault. I wont be buying from them again.
