had my gearbox replaced this week on my 1.4, its a 99 plate apq engine code and i noticed the gear ratio's seemed to have changed

previously in 5th doing 60 the rev counter would read 3k rpm, but now it read 2.5k rpm after the new gear box. just wondered what other people get at the same speed, i can't see it causing a problem but its just a odd one after a new gearbox

yeah it was this that just made my mind up to get rid, will be sad to see her go though as i have had her for 4years nearly and done 40k. love the mk2 ibiza but its time to move on

picking up my new 05 plate leon fr tdi on sat on the way back from dropping my old one off, i can't wait:)

Congrats on the Leon they are lovely cars and a great drive, they're on my list for a next possible car.

Just don't go racing 16v MK2's, my mate was gutted when his FR lost to my cordy.

i would only try it with the 8v, no chance with a 16v i know my 0-60 times;)

was a nice car to drive, really surprised at the power in terms of the pull when you put your foot down but thats the torque coming in

just have to try and keep it standard lol
