1.8 FR Engine knock/Tap

Hi peeps!
I’ve got a 5F 1.8

my dumbass ran it low of oil so it started tapping/knocking

I’ve since replaced all the hydraulic lifters and there’s still a slight tapping when cold!

pretty much goes once up to temp,

any ideas on what to change next advice would be so helpful!

I would try and narrow down where this tapping/knocking is coming from.
You can use a long screw driver or pipe as a 'listening device' - example: https://www.motortrend.com/news/wrenchin-wednesday-tracking-engine-sounds

Put this pipe on various points on the engine head/block/gearbox etc. to determine if the noise is from the crank/cams/flywheel etc..

Your timing chain if you have one doesn't like not having oil so check that area also
