100k+ on LCR's, is this a problem?

Looking at possibly swaping my LC for a LCR. i dont really do much milage (only done 14k in 5+years) Thinking or getting one with higher milage as it would be cheaper and i use my car even less now 1-1.5k a year so i wont really put that much on it. Is there many/any know problems or things to look out for on the AMK and BAM engines (i've seen a few for sale where the owner is making a point of the fact that it has had a new turbo or engine/rebuild) or other things for that matter, running gear, electrics, paint work ect when they get near to the 100k mark?

from what ive been told, the 1.8T engine is bulletproof, as long as its got a FSH and has plenty of receipts to show necesssary maintenace work has been done, it should be fine..

Mine's just about to go over 100k and I had J0N go for a spin in mine (his was much newer, better looked after and much lower mileage) and he said the whole thing felt solid and bang on, so I'm happy that it'll be fine at over 100k miles. It'll not go up a lot while I own it mind you because I don't do a lot of miles

My now departed LCR had 138k on it when it went. Not mapped but driven with spirit :) Was Bullet proof as mentioned earlier, one think to look out for is stone chips on the front and lacquer peel on the brembos, they do go over time. The only other problem I had was a snapped exhaust hanger, other than that nothing, it still had the original clutch!! Get one with lots of history and regular services and you can't go far wrong.

Mileage often clouds peoples judgement of cars, i'd say just ignore it and look for a complete service history, any sign of problems iin the engine bay for example oil leaks and a problem-free test drive.
