10w60 for 340hp cupra?

Greetings, I am in the process of becoming a Leon Cupra Mk2 owner. I found a very good example which has been taken care of. It has been tuned by official Revo dealer in my country and it puts out around 330hp/290whp on the dyno. Owner says he used 5w30 before but for last few years he puts in Selenia 10w60 and with that, the car uses only 1l of oil per 15k km. Is it too thick for a mix of spirited and daily driving? Thanks for answer in advance

I've used 5w40 in mine since I had it remapped without any issue. But I guess it depends on the temperature range where you live... we rarely get temps above 32 or minus single figures.

Here we have around 30-38c in summer and rarely under 0c in winter, but not every winter is consistent. Sometimes we have periods of -10c. Could there be any harmful long time effects done with using 10w60 oil? I will try to find the specs of the oil somewhere
P.S Found it. Are these good specs compared to what people usually use, something like 10w40 castrol?

Hmm, maybe he did a lot of track days? I use 5w40 @ 370bhp and have no issues. I think specs are less important than using the right oil. And that's way thicker than Seat recommend.

He didn't use it for track day, he started using it because it reduced oil consumption by a lot,and oil consumption is normal thing on these engines.
