My Mk4 130sport has had the 312mm brake conversion, which pads do I ask for? as these brakes not are standard fitment on this car or are they all the same just with bigger discs.

If you used the same caliper with a new carrier, then it should be the same pad i think?
But if you use a different caliper and carrier like I did (Bora V6), then you need a pad which fits that caliper :)

I used regular ferodo pads for ~£30, they seem good enough so far!

edit: Best somebody more knowledgeable comes in though, I'm just going by my experience :p

So kinda related to this.....

To make a 312mm conversion, you don't NEED bigger callipers do you? You can just get the 312mm calipers and discs? But if you want the full advantage then upgrade the calipers too?

Im sure you can just buy new carriers that space your caliper out so that it fits a 312mm disk...

I only mentioned mine because I bought a full front setup from another car, and when i compared the pads from my old 288mm to the Bora's 312mm, they were certainly bigger, and the piston on the caliper looked bigger too!

Yes thats the trouble, I don't know what donor car the calipers came from - It might be an Audi TT but GSF list more than one type!

Any car in the vag range with 312mm brakes? TT, Leon Cupra (early models) all had 312mm so dont see the problem?

pretty simple folks,

ive the 312 mm set on mine, basically its the caliber/brake pads/brake disc'c from an Audi TT

there a direct swap for the whole hub! if you have the 312 conversion and need brake pads,

simple ask for Audi TT front pads for a 1.8t verson, not the 3.2 version with or with out the sensor if you have a brake pad warning light
