14 inch steelies over fr brakes?

there are some 14 inch steelies and tires up for sale but they are 14 inch , wanting to put these on to sell my fr alloys and to fund the porsche ones will they go over the front brakes ?

If the FR has 256mm front discs then 14" wheels will be okay, but if you are going to use 185/60 tyres then make sure that you are buying 6J rims with 43mm ET - when I was looking for a set of steelies to use with winter tyres on my wife's Polo 9N 1.4 SE, all the ones I could find for sale were either 5J rims or wrong offset - and that includes Golf wheels!
