Just had a search... and all I can find on this is the part numbers and how to install it....

Im presuming it's a feed pipe from the bumper to the air box, then from the box to the intake.....

But what cars will it fit on.... and is it worth doing?

or does it all ready exist on my Leon 110 SE?

6LL 129 621 - bumper end connecting bit
6LL 129 618 - main pipe from airbox

Instalation:

Referring to the parts as:
Front inlet -> Adaptor -> Pipe -> Airbox
...where the Adaptor & Pipe are the bits being changed, this is how I did it:

1) Remove cross-head screw from airbox, pull old pipe out of airbox so the end is free
2) Remove 2 torx screws from front inlet, lift whole assembly out.
3) Prise front inlet off of old adaptor & hose. Chuck the old adaptor & hose.
4) Fit new hose into airbox and refit the crosshead screw
5) Clip new adaptor into front inlet
6) Refit front inlet & new adaptor using 2 torx screws (whilst pushing new pipe down out of way)
7) Bend the new pipe over the new adaptor and push together, pretty fiddly, requires a fair bit of bending of the pipe (which is quite flexible).

Got that cleared up then :)

Is there anything other than stripping my box, sanding down the internals of it and putting in a green cotton to help with my induction then?

Apart from linking it up to my air con
:roflmao:

sorry ....

fitting a dynatwist induction kit.

£120 from Tweeks..... is it going to make any difference? Im completely standard at the mo, thinking of going down the injectors route with a remap, so should I spend a little on a dynatwist which might help with the remap, or should I save the money and put it towards the inevitable G60 fly/clutch swap in going to need

Or should I just fork out £1500 for a hybrid and remap

SPT stands for Shite Pipe Technology,,, it was created and patented by driveforward on Sooty, his mk4 ibiza.
basically you buy a pipe large enough and flexible too, then hit the search button to see how to install it.

BUT, since yours is a 110, I'd go the Old Man Intake route,,, basically a larger inlet they sell on tdiclub.com,,, about a hundred dollars but it should make quite a difference.

I wouldn't go the VR6/G60 combo route. The dual mass flywheel, with all its cons ok, is there for a reason, which is to damp the torque spikes of the engines to preserve the gearbox,,, do you think you need it?

If ya goin hybrid+remap then you'll need injectors, intercooler and clutch too,,, but that would see you at 170+hp,,,

low budget option:
-used/rebuilt VNT-17 from someone you trust [like Shock_Xe of AM Motorsport in the tdituning section]
-kerma/bosio nozzles [not that expensive]
-used IC from any turbo sports car of the past [delta or cossy or whatever],,, you can have one for a hundred euros or less, you'll need the pipes to be built but if you look for someone doin it for you at a decent price, you have a bargain IC
-sachs clutch [that is expansive and can't be bought used!!]

I feel like already havin done this conversation,,,

Duely noted .... cheers. And that will be better than the dynatwist? errrm thinking about it ... I presume I would use the larger intake in CONJUNCTION with the dynatwist.

If im really, really honest with you, I think I will probably just get a switchable REVO and leave it at that. Spending upwards of £2-£3k on a nonPD 110 to get it up to 150PD is starting to seem liek a daft idea to me. Im thinking I should just wait till next year. Enjoy the 110 for what is is (with a REVO) then trade it in for a 150. It sounds like the sensible option

Totally agree, just get the revo, then trade in for a 150 when you can afford it.

the dynatwist wont give very much noticable improvement really, the TDI intake system is already pretty good (acording to paulo, prc)

the old man intake will be a cheaper option mind, than the dynatwist. The dynatwist replaces the entire airbox, so the old man intake isnt need with it.

:worship: The more people tell me, the more I will think it's the right thing to do. Which it is.

Don't get me wrong im not preaching to 110 owners not to mod their motors, I just think that a 150 in 8 months or so would be within my price range.

I paid 6.5 for this 2000 W reg 110SE with 35K. so in a year I recon I will get 5.5k-6k for it. Then the 150's will probably be around 8-9 ish (possibly a little more)

So instead of spending £1k on a hybrid, £500 on a custom chip, £500 on injectors, £500 on xorts/induction.. and other bits and bobs, I may as well save the cash and get the 150....

Anyone want to shoot holes in my theory?

APRAT from the "In a months time you will want more power" ... as I all READY want more power

Why why why bump a 5 year old thread? :ban:

Do a search, Im sure its been covered a million times before. Either dealers (which I think is about £70, possibly more), look in the 'For Sale' section or check ebay or the likes.
