17" cupra R style wheels

yeah offset shouldn't be too big an issue.

I'm just saying they don't look like original SEAT wheels, but as I say the 17's may be different to my 18's.

The 17's may be different to the 18's but my LCR 18's don't "dip" in between the spokes at the centre of the wheel like those.

Funny you should say that, I've just looked at a FR+ with the 17s and they don't have that dip either.
They're probably SEAT accessory wheels, possibly imported or dealer old stock.

Either way they're very nice wheels and will suit the car well.

Those are Ibiza Cupra R wheels, they may look a tad peculiar on the Leon as they are dished out in the centre unlike the Leon ones which are flat. As posted earlier the Leon ones dont have the cut outs in the centre where the spokes meet the middle.

You're not wrong - those are Beezer wheels, I've just cheked the other pictures of them and they are dished. You can't see the dish from the picture on post no.1 but it's there.

the guy told me that they were leon wheels and original, no fitting issues and nothing against ibiza cupra R wheels but I wanted leon wheels, im now just wandering whether to cancel the order before he ships them out?

On close inspection, yes they are Beezer wheels.
The PCD and centre bore will all be spot on, so they will fit your hubs nicely but they will bulge out a bit in the middle instead of being completely flat on the spokes like a Cupra R. Have a look at a few pictures of Ibiza Cupra mk4 wheels and decide if they are still to your liking.

Andy im not to sure now, I think I prefer the flater look of the FR cupra R wheels, im a bit off as they guy had them advertised them as leon wheels not ibiza, just gotta ring him tomorrow and tell him I wanna cancel, he is meant to be wrapping them up and shipping them off via courier, unsure how he will take this?

If I can cancel the order I think im gonna get some RS6 wheels else ill be waiting ages for the cupra R 17" or 18", just dont know where to get the RS6's, there is always fleabay I suppose, just got a feeling the guy aint gonna be to pleased.

There is a guy on here looking for ibiza cupra R wheels though so this might be a solution if he is interested

If the guy's not posted them yet then I don't see a problem. You could offer to pay the advertising fees if he's too upset, but at the end of the day hw was the one who advertised them as being Leon wheels, though it's a very easy mistake to make as they do look very similar.

Having really bad luck with wheels at the moment, the thing is if you are paying good money for wheels you wanna be happy with them at the end of the day, they are nice wheels dont get me wrong and im sure there is someone with an ibiza who will snap them up, if so contact me via pm and ill give you details depending if I can get my money back

Loads of places do them, Rochford, Wheelbase... virtually every wheel specialist out there.

andy,

just got off the phone to the guy about the wheels, told him that as a matter of fact they were seat ibiza wheels, they were advertised as leon wheels and not ibiza wheels. (told me they were leon wheels still)
I told him that my main seat dealer advised against buying these as you should keep to oe wheels for the car, also said there might be some probs with my big brakes, guy said ' I knew you was going to give me trouble' advised the guy to stop right there' he said he would cancel my payment, said bye and put the phone down, oops! not too happy then! same here mate, ditto!!
wheels were advertised wrong anyway, just got to check the money gets refunded now, its not come out of the bank yet but i think it comes out then gets refunded later? im sure thats how it works.

Yes i am happy with the wheels from wheelbase. I payed £555inc next day delivery (£525 + £25del) i had 2 problems;
1. They came balanced but the stick on weights had "dropped off" ?!
2. I didnt get any centre caps.

Wheel base told me to get the balancing done, fax them the receipt and they refunded me, which was good of them. I am still chasing the centre caps, they ran out but thought they had sent me a set out of their new batch...today is the last day im gonna wait for them.

I got Khumo tyres, which i had on my ibiza. they are by no means crap, i did a track day and LOTS of 1/4 mile runs with them on the beeza and gave me no trouble (the ibiza had 253bhp!)

I clean them with just a sponge and normal car washing products (autoglym car cleaner stuff) clean up a treat. PLUS you can get your hand in behind the spokes to clean easily

so they come with khumo tyres as standard then, did you telephone order or just through ebay?

only found 1 set that are hypersilver on ebay, what ya think?
