17's would be better, click my build thread in my signature, you can see my 18's fitted on standard suspension before it was lowered

Thanks Paul, having a nightmare trying to decide which wheels and what size to get lol.

Don't want to buy 18s and the its looks like a tractor cause its not been lowered.

Loving your cupra btw, those wheels are awesome. Looks great

**** pics but you get the idea these are 18 inch with standard springs and shocks.

thanks, might be the style wheel but looks very high before i lowered

Thanks a lot for the input guys, I currently have the standard 17" starfish rims so I know what it would look like with 17's.

Really good to see some pics of 18's with standard suspension as when I have been searching nearly all the cars have been lowered about 40mm which gives a totally different look.

I am looking at a deep dish rim from Cades (Tyrus) which is only available in an 18. Might just have to go for it and if it looks awful buy some lowering springs or cheap coil-overs.

I think your car looks good on the 18s Phil, I was expecting more of a gap than that to be honest.

this has made me rethink the need of lowering. I was gonna go 18" RS6 wheels and lower it, but looking at pics, i wont bother lowering it. More funds for downpipe :D

DFawbert, what wheels are they? They loook superb

I was originally thinking about refurbishing my starfish 17's, but then started looking at wheels and was having real issues deciding on whether to stick with 17's or go to 18's.

Phill's car looks a lot lower than mine in that pic to be honest. So hard to tell until the wheels are on there.

Made a quick photoshop of the wheels on the car, added an image as the car is as standard and one with the wheels I am thinking of buying. Just made the wheels big enough to have less tyre showing to try and emulate the inch bigger rim and lower profile tyre.

Any thoughts good or bad would be much appreciated,

cheers Brian

Long time no speak!

I'm liking the new style wheels, they go well with the platinum

Hi Craig, longtime no see, hows it going?

You still got your cupra? what power are you running these days.

I think I am going to go with the cades rims in an 18" as i have been looking for ages and need to just make a decision lol

All good here Brian, you keeping well yourself?

Yep still got the old girl, you've obviously still got yours!

Those rims do look kinda sweet, with them being a more silver colour it keeps the contrast with the bodywork that the originals have too :)
