Basically as the topic says, wondering what insurance company your with if you own a Mk3 Cupra and are between the ages of 18~20 years old? Even if I cant get insured on a Cupra they should be able to give me a decent quote on my own car!!

when i was that age, elephant, although at 18/19 it seems a bit silly to get an insurance group 15 car.

Elephant are very good, 10month bonus accelerator is good also, i used it to get protected ncb

I'v just turned 19, i dont care about what i pay on insurance as i love cars! But elephant have allways insured me at a good price, i had an mg zr 160 when i turned 18 and they insured me for 2000 on that, i am now insured fully comp on my mk 3 cupra at under 1400 (valued the car at 6250) which i am over the moon at (plus its quicker than my mg!) so i think elephant are by far the best for younger drivers as my freind got insured at a reasonable price on a subaru imprza rb5 at only 21!!!! so give them a go mate, good luck! ;)

Admiral insured me for £1150 when I was 20 with 1 year ncb, that was with suspension/exhaust/air filter declared and kept on the street :)

Oh and as the guy above says, put your parents down as named drivers, even if they never intend to drive the car it seems to bring the policy down a few hundred quid  ;)

Elephant: £1896.63 (10 Month) / £2195.55 (12 Month)
Bell: £1876.56 (10 Month) / £2176.65 (12 Month)

I have always said if I can get insurance for less than £2k I'll pay it, pay £1880 on the 1.6 Sport...! As for 19 and on a Group 15 car, I was 17 on a motorbike that would eat a standard Cupra alive!

Ohh and put both parents down, or just one? Just put mam or dad down previously, never thought of putting both down.

Ahh damn, gone up slightly when I by mistake said I bought the car in 2005, instead of 2006.... Odd that it makes £100 worth of difference! Could always say I bought it on the 31st of Dec LOL!

iv refused to pay more than 1200quid for insurance since i passed my test and iv had a couple decent cars

i got my cupra at the end of may last year and i was 20 at the time. i turned 21 in October though. After i bought it i found out Norwich Union who i was with didnt insure drivers under the age of 21 for this type of car. but as i was almost at the end of my current policy and i had been with them since I started driving which was when i was 17, they gave me a quote at that stage.

for that year it would have cost around 1600quid with my 2years ncb, they charged me only an extra 100quid though for the rest of my policy which meant i only spent 900quid on insurance that year cos i drove a 206 xsi before the cupra, then when i renewed in August (still 20years old) they quoted me £860 something with 3points and 3years ncb.

hoping for around £700 this August with 4years! will be able to protect them too!

You know that Bell, Elephant, Admiral and Diamond are the same company? And they own confused.com as well.

You'll get different quotes off them all, but it's the same cover.
