this is all ok but as soon as you put mods on it gose up and elephant wont insure you if you have more than 2 mods (not just engine mods) so i moved to Adrian Flux they dont seem to mind what you do aslong as you tell them and it only realy gose up if your BHP gose up.

You know that Bell, Elephant, Admiral and Diamond are the same company? And they own confused.com as well.

You'll get different quotes off them all, but it's the same cover.

Simon.

Just had my insurance renewal come through from elephant (who i'm currently with), and got a quote from Admiral which was £60 cheaper - that seems crazy if they are the same company.

Can easily say elephant, admiral etc seem the best for me

Basically as the topic says, wondering what insurance company your with if you own a Mk3 Cupra and are between the ages of 18~20 years old? Even if I cant get insured on a Cupra they should be able to give me a decent quote on my own car!!

Alrite mate im 21 live in stoke car is garaged and i have 1 years no claims and i pay £1200 with ELEPHANT (on my standard leon ;) )

I was with Tesco when I was your age and found them to be the best, plus I had 10% off and 0%APR on monthly payments. But they don't seem to be that good anymore.

I think a lot of people have had some joy with elephant but with your age going against you it may be a different story.

Just thought i would tell you adrain flux reduced my insurance from £2100 to £1800 when i told them my car had been modified... anyway im 20 with 2 yrs ncb adrian flux were the only company who would insure me everybody else said i needed to be 21!

Wonder if they take into account saftey modifications like Brembo's...! (Got a set on the 1.6). Going to try and play Admiral, Bell, Elephant & Diamond off against each other even though there the same company, will also give Adrian Flux a try.

Im sure they will as my friend did it but the amount they reduced it by was a joke i think it was somthing like £13! those are some pretty heavy duty brakes for a sport im gonna get some when i get a remap they are great!

How are you insured with them if you have more than 2 mods? i take it you havent told them about your revo , DV etc etc
They told me i had 10days to find some one else when i told them i had a cupra with revo and DV + alloys

I Was 19 When I Got Insured 0ncb 1600 Fully Comp With Elephant, Had A Erst B4 Tht An I Was Paying 1800 Tpft So The Cupra Was A Bargin Insurance Wise, But If I Am Honest A Large Step Down In Power 1.8 20vt In Standard Form Seems Guttless, But My Car Is In Warranty For A Few More Months Yet So Dont Want To Tamper...i Hear Revo An K03s Turbos Etc Will Make The Beeza Fly

im with elephant with a ibiza cupra 20vt and i pay, £940 with 1 years ncb at 19 and now £846 with2 ncb at 20. try and put a girl as a named driver doesnt matter about age or ncb but always reduces my policy.

I had a cough 206 2L 16v GTi cough with lots and lots of mods (hey we all had our boy racer days!!!!) wheels, suspension, exhaust, filter, chip, cams and lots of bodywork mods and i got ins ok with them and thats telling them the truth about all the mods.
Maybe it depends on car , age etc etc ...

Im 19, 2 years no claims and 1 years full drivin, best quote iv got is £1900 with elephant with me parents on, budget is over £3.5k and Admiral is over £2k. When i get 2 years full driving to go with the 2 years no claims it goes down to £1600 with elephant. Aint tried Adrian Flux or belll though, gna give them a try now thanks :)

Admiral came through with a surprise quote, £1780 FC with my Mother on the policy (they wanted over £2k with my dad on yet hes got no claims and no convictions!!).

Pretty happy at that quote its only a few hundred more than re-insuring the 1.6!

i'm glad im past the age/dayso f paying silly money for insurance!

i pay 490 and i think thats bad enough

Plenty of people with lots of nice things to say about Adrian Flux then, but have any of you ever tried to make a claim? It took over two and a half years for a claim to be settled a claim for an incident that happened whilst I was insured with them. As far as apportioning blame goes, we're talking about a no-brainer - a truck hit me whilst I was stationary at a red traffic light. I don't want to go too far into the specifics as it does my blood pressure no favours, but to sum up they were useless. There's a saying that if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys. Very true in this case.

Fortunately, I was fully comp so the repairs got done straight away - jeez, am I glad I wasn't TPF&T else i'd either only just be getting the car repaired or have been out of pocket the last couple of years. As it happens, because the claim wasn't settled, I had to declare the claim as "Pending", and have paid loaded premiums for the last two years (most insurers count a "Pending" claim as a "Fault" one).

Sorry, rant over...

Im 20, coming up for 3 yrs ncb in June, fully comp with norwich union direct, with 3 points for an SP30 and iwas paying £1500 but i added my mum and it reduce to £1290, added my dad and it reduced to around £1100, added my girlfriends Dad and it dropped to £975, but i think they started to sus me out because when i added my Mrs's mum, who has squicky clean licence and no claims for like about 200 years, and it went up to about £1900!! They literally pluck a figure from a bag like the lottery. (my figures were based on a Cat 1 alarm fitted, and parked on driveway outside my house.-medium crime rated area) Hope you get a good price.
