I don't think so. Havent seen an option in the menu for it + It sounds very naturally to me regardless of the mode, so for me personally its enough.
This is a great news.
I have the same opinion like you about the fake sound.
Thanks

Mine is at the dealers already - about a month earlier than expected. Hopefully it can be delivered in the next few weeks.

Ordered mine in May and still have an unconfirmed build week 7. Looks like nearly a year from order to delivery.

It seems there's no rhyme or reason to the build and delivery times.

Mine is on a 24 month lease, if things don't improve I'll need to be ordering the next car in 12 months!

Hello Cupra heads I have ordered a formentor VZ1 245 DSG 2.0 petrol having a good read of these comments can anyone confirm if the VZ1 has launch control? And I also seen some people have heated steering wheels too which I didn’t think was on the VZ1? also mine has been in cupra Crewe compound since December so do you think my one may have heated steering wheel? I’m coming from a 1.6 Audi A3 TDI 107bhp so I’m guessing this car should feel pretty fast to me? Any reply would be greatly appreciated

Hi mate, yes all Formentors have launch control. The 245 2.0 uses the same running gear as the MK8 GTI and Skoda Octavia vRS, those use an electronic locking differential. But even with 245 going through the front wheels it can struggle putting it's power down when launching from standstill, especially on wet roads. The 245 when I ordered mine back in June didn't come with a heated steering wheel. But for the MY22 updates all Formentors with the DSG have the heated steering wheels so yours should have it :) Mines currently being built this week and is also being supplied by Swansway Group but the fleet department

Thank you for the reply I can’t wait to get it! I pick it up on the 18th of feb, Mine has been in the showroom since December and it’s only just getting registered this week but I hope mine does come with the heated steering wheel also I see people saying there VZ1 doesn’t have the fake engine sound? Hopefully this is true? The engine in my car should hopefully sound ok on its own I have seen some videos of GTI 8 and they sound pretty nice stock so hopefully mine should match?

No worries! That sounds very exciting, what colour is it? I've gone for Magnetic Tech Grey, ordered back at the start of June so it's been a long wait! I'm pretty sure it will as the 245TSIs only really started to filter through the UK in very small numbers from September and that's when the 2022 updates started to filter through. I been told sometime in March but until it's been confirmed its built I'm not 100% sure. I've heard that it doesn't have the fake sound, which I'm happy with, but who knows officially. Yep sounds pretty good with all the filters in the exhaust I think there's a few pops and burbles on overrun which is nice, as my current Cooper S does it in Sport mode

I went for white it was the only colour I could get because that was the only colour they had in stock and it’s the only stock colour if I factory ordered one it was a 9 month waiting list I did want grey like you so I am a little jealous haha 😂 although I do like that with white the cupra lettering on the back stands out more (I’m just trying to find positives in settling for white haha) but yes very exciting times I can’t wait to get my hands on it! Fingers crossed you get a update on yours soon!

Thanks mate! The good thing about the Formentor is that it seems to suit any colour, so I don't think you can go wrong

Just another quick question It’s my first time having a auto I see people when I’m drive pulling down on the shifter to go into S gears? Does this change driving modes from comfort sport and cupra? Or does it just do something different to the gears? Wasn’t sure what toggling down into S does

This is my first personal car with an auto box as well :) I have driven my dads BMW 330e that has an auto box but its a torque converter auto. This is my first VAG car and first DSG car. I think by pulling the shifter back it puts the gearbox into sport mode so it holds the gears longer and you can flick it back into D. But it won't change the driving profile i.e Sport/Cupra unless you change it manually. The different driving modes will change stuff like the Adaptive Dampers, Throttle Response, Exhaust Noise and Steering Weight, Gearbox Response so I think when you switch into Sport and Cupra it will put the gearbox into sport mode

So for the likes of launch control I’m guessing then I just have to put the car into cupra mode take traction control off and then hold both throttle and brake to activate I seen people shifting the shifter back but if cupra mode put gears into sport then it should work that way?

Hello I read that on the updated brochures that the VZ1 now comes with heated steering wheel, I don’t have my formentor yet but I rang the dealership I’m getting it from and the woman said no VZ1 comes with heated steering wheel? Is she clueless or have I read wrong does anyone have a VZ1 with heated steering wheel?
