Hmm. My key (non-flip, 2-button, 2004 car) has "433 MHz" moulded on the key section along with a lot of other numbers and letters, but I don't have the part number anywhere on the key, neither on the key section itself (which has the transponder stuck to it) or on the remote-locking-and-alarm keyfob section. My second, "dumb", key has nothing on the plastic at all. Both keys have W3 and HAA stamped into the key blade.
I'm sure this is why we all go on about 433MHz and 434MHz keys, it's the only bit of info on the key we can make sense of.
I seem to recall someone saying that the W3 refers to the immobiliser variant, but can't find the reference now.
Hence the interest in the RF frequency - it's the only thing we've been able to use as a reference.
