2002 ibiza mk4 headlasmp removal, HELP !

trying to get the nearside left headlamp out as the cover on the back has gotten loose and moisture has crept in,

but i canot see how the unit comes out, i have removed the

2 torqx drive screws on top

the slam panel screw at each side ,


it can wiggle a bit now but its not coming out and neither is the slam panel coming away from its bracket,

please don't tell me i need to take the bumper assembly off!

You need to take the bumper off to access 2 more bolts lower down.

Theres only 1 way. You'll need to remove 5 bolts from each wheel arch, the 4 bolts just under the bonnet, the bolts underneath that hold the bumper to the undertray, and 2 bolts through the lower central grille. Its fairly straightforward. Should take 5mins once you know what you're doing.

Oh, and you'll need to remove the foglights too if you have them. Also be careful of the temp sensor attached to the bumper, the cable isn't very long.
