350 bhp IHI "rash cupra" bought today

Hi guys bought the black ihi turbo cupra today know all the history and goings on with it before u all say

Chap who bought it knew nothing about BT cars!

He had it three days then gear box failed and turbo died so after £2200 spent new turbo and re con box with the old diff fitted its back to her former glory so he wanted to sell it as it was all mint and running nice

Made him a offer he accepted and I collected it today.

Coming from previous gt30 mk3 cupra it feels and pulls very well, in fact it's dangerous in 2nd gear foot flat it drags you across the road lol

Must say a lot nicer to drive than the mk3 and feels more grown up

Plans are fit h beam con rods as I have a set here that I was going to put into a mk3 k04 set up I bought but then sold quick after so once fitted I'm going to get the map tweaked and see what it can really do.

TC in stick on and air flow is down so il change maf tomoz and take her up to bill as he's my closest custom code dealer

good to hear the engine is being complete that thing must be a ticking time bomb being on the standard internals when it was built thought it may have been done already.

the ihi delivers its power different from a gt28/30 personaly i think the internals will last another 60k i just want it for piece of mind and get the map twaeked up as turbo will do 400bhp

My ihi powered one has been built for maybe 7 year now running 360hp all on standard internals and tbh I don't see a point in changing till it breaks, as you say it could last ages.

A decent set up ihi is a seriously quick car, I had a gt28 fully forged Leon Cupra r running just short of 400 and the Ibiza would of torn it a new a hole lol

What mods are on your then mate?
Sure my afm is shot as I feel it should pull harder than it is at the mo time will tell il get it logged and may take a trip to bill.
Who mapped yours and what map isit?

Oops just realised yours is a mk4 lol and mine a mk3

But mine is
IhI vf34
Jabba sport ceramic manifold
Dta pro management (doesn't run coils or maf etc so much better)
Aquamist water injection
660cc injectors
Huge custom front mount with all custom 4" inch pipe work
Custom made exhaust
Carbon induction pipe to filter

Car was built and mapped by a local company called Automark.

It's totally stripped bare inside with a cage and Perspex windows

ihi is a ball bearing turbo and they are quite weak i believe compared to other turbos.

it will only be 360bhp on happy rollers tho

built for 7 years, but what miles has it covered in that time.

mines been "built" as a racecar for 6 years, but covered shag all miles relative to road car

I am intrigued as to what TIP is fitted on it... having seen another IHI ibiza (mk3) come out of the same stable with a joke of an intake on it... Hoping yours is better..

It's just a forge silicon tip with a silicon joiner onto a pd160 air box. I'd much rather a jetex or green cotton cone filter so make sure you got one in stock and maybe a tip if you think it's panse lol
