It seems like a long time ago that we started SCN up..

And now we've surpassed another milestone in our history.

I might go on a stat mission later on, but for a taster - some months we've pulled in over 1,000 new members per month.

Thanks to all that participate :)

I didnt realise seats were so popular until i joined here...although im seeing more than ever about now...

 Is there a way of telling how many of those are active members? eg. average 1 post or more per day or something.

That would be good if it would be possible,

Could have the post per day infomation under your total post count where your avator is

It says that when you click on a user name and it takes you to their USER CP bit! My average is 2.75 per day! Some days its massive... usually during school holidays.

So it does :)

But would be nice just to have the info there so at a glance you can see who the most addicted people are

Can't believe I've been 'lurging' round here for nearly 6 years now.

Great milestone to reach.

40,000+ users.... how many bans ;-)

An edcutated guess less than 5% each month, most of those are spammers and are ban deleted.

I'm not really too fussed about the big numbers, it's the content and banter that matters the most to me. But needless to say over 40,000 registered of course it's quite amazing to see.

In reality there are currently just over 18,000 of those registered users who have visited the forum in the last year, many of those 40,000 maybe inactive or visit infrequently. You'll see the same trends on most forums anywhere, the knack is to keep a good percentage coming back and keep new registrations coming too. It's certainly not stagnant and continues to show steady growth.

Taking a sample from the last 12 months (July08 - July09) the average registrations per month was 982 new users each month over the period.

What i find more interesting is the amount of people who log-in daily.

On average more than 1500 registered users visit the forum every single day, and I've based that on the last full month of stats (July01 - July31 2009) That's a typical month, and the trend shows it's been growing steadily year on year.

Yeah as you can see my post count is low but been on the forum a while. I tend to log in daily to have a look around see if there is anything interesting and follow some interesting threads.

But due to my knowledge of the mechanics etc i cant contribute although i find it interesting. I imagine there are a lot of people in that boat as well

Congrats to a well run site though :)
