Not gonna lie my hands are covered in scrapes : D

what ever you do , dont think about changing the tweeters in the doors unless you have plenty of patience and have not used up all of your pennies in the swear box , because these doors are flucking insanely designed , the window mechanism comes away with the door card and is a pain to fit back again ![:@]

The one I ordered from connects2 you don't have to run any extra cables it's just plug and play....

So was mine, however I think the non steeringwheel controls one comes without the power connection for some reason.

Wonder if i'd get away with using the same adaptor as yourself and just not plugging the steering controls in

Do you use yours for sat nav? Reason I ask is I was thinking of buying one for this but wonder whether the unit is a bit too low down the dash for that?

Takes you eyes of the road?

looks great

fancy one myself but couldnt justify the 800+ for a realy good unit

I must admit I thought that. But then then i priced up a Bluetooth kit and Sat nav and looked at other iPod connections it's actually cheaper. I bought mine from Amazon and the headunit was £700 which is still alot of money if you can read a map and don't listen to music or make phone calls : D

That's cheaper for you then : D think it was £20 for steering adaptor!

Like i said, i purchased the adaptor for non steering controls and it didnt provide a power source. i had to run my own, which i took from the ciggie lighter. However, this aint ideal. So, if the steeringwheel one provides me with a power source and allows the stereo to operate int he same way as the OEM one, then i'll purchase.

.... it works on mine but I wouldn't want you to waste money and it not work....maybe it's specific to each type of head unit......

That looks great CupraString, very tidy install !

As has been said above, I'd also love a double-DIN stereo like this, but the hefty price tag just makes it financially not viable, as I have other financial outgoings that take priority (over my car!)...

Yeah my mortgage and family take priority but thanks to a healthy start to the working year my bonus paid for it....

Believe it or not but I bought a Pioneer avh3200bt and remotes and fascia and after a month in the car decided to take it all out and go back to the original stereo to get all my phone functions back again.Looks like I will be ebaying all the bits
