How many miles do you do...

Take both for a test drive...

They look the same just different engine mate!

More to do with what are you plans? Do you want to mod it? Big power? Do lots of miles? etc.....

Yeah, you need to compare the two and decide whats best for you! Diesel will obviously give more mpg and petrol will be quicker!

i do about 12,000 miles a year
i love power but i aint sure which 1 is easier to tune?

Both easy to tune - get more power from 1.8T takes alot to get to 260bhp with diesel, Hybrid blower, uprated injectors etc, whereas iirc I think you can get about 250bhp ish on the std k04 on the 1.8T! (I'm sure sum1 will correct me if im talkin out my ass! )

Try checking out allards for diesel tuning, JBS for 1.8t's or Jabba for both!

lets not talk crap here peeps the 1.8t is definatly the best for modifying if your the type that collects coppers off the street then get a derv
