• Hey Guest💡👉 We have just launched our new Dealer Directory and review service Find out more now
Just did a small vid of it working in my car (assuming its what you want) but im at work so cant upload it now... so in text terms, you want to go into Radio... Setup...Seek Mode - Preset List.

Then the buttons on the left of your steering wheel will now go between the favorite stations and not scan.

Ours must have been set up like that at the factory, as it scans presets - when you are on the radio screen. Whatever happened to 'proper' buttons . . ....

I agree with Chris, most of your points seem to be very trivial, I don't think the Seat is any worse than any of the 3 previous new Audi's I've owned in the past.

Agree with this. My A3 was terrible for water running into the car, but those gutterless roofs look great don't they. :banghead2 The A3 stop start could be temperamental as well but no more often than your car.

Never had a car that didn't have some quirk which bothered me, good luck finding one....

That said, everyone is entitled to their opinion. There are a couple of things about mine, but not that i would criticise the car for.

[*]It's almost impossible to make a smooth gear change into 1st

Can I ask what the situation is where you are changing into 1st and not getting it smooth? I mean, I only ever change into first to pull away when the car is stationary. So in that case, it is as smooth as smooth can be. The only time I can imagine you will get a judder is if the car is moving and you care going from second down to first. But in that case, I don't know why you are going down to first? Stay in second if you need to pull away again. First only needs to be used for pulling the car away from a stationary position.

I bought my Seat Leon SC SE (1.4) on finance in September and I'm almost 6 months through the 3 year agreement.

It's my first brand new car, and if I am honest I am not that impressed.

  • Water runs in the boot when it's been raining and I open the boot
  • Water drips in the car if you open the window when it's been raining
  • It takes forever to clear ice from the front window
  • The material used around the central screen and the window open/close buttons make it look like someone has eaten a McDonalds then pressed all the buttons.

Anyone else feel like this?

My current and previous mk5 golf drips water in the boot when wet, lift half up, count to 5, open fully.

If you polish and wax a car like i do, I've learnt never have a window open when roof is full of beads of water, or you get wet when you sit down and especially when cornering.

I've always deiced with tepid water, no chemicals. Takes a few seconds while neighbours are still scraping, which can scratch the glass. When i can't garage it at night that is.

I have a certain family member who's fingers are always like they have eaten a maccy d's, even if they have just washed them. ;)

that's awesome mate, just changed it no problem. i hadn't even considered that the Seek Mode would apply to the steering wheel :banghead2 thanks for your time and effort :)

I had a Golf V and a Scirocco before my Leon. Both had the same problems with (i) water dripping in when you open the windows or the boot (ii) slow demisting. To be honest the Leon is probably better than either in both respects.
Not encountered any stop/start or gear selection problems.

With Radio/Media selected in your central display between the speedo and rev counter, use the scroll wheel on the RHS of the steering wheel to rotate through the options stored then press the scroll wheel in to change to that selection.

With your radio on and visible in the cars main display you can use the next and previous rocker switch on the left hand side of the steering wheel to skip through your stored stations in the same way that would change tracks on a CD or on MP3's stored on the SDHC card slot.

To demist windows, select both the heating element buttons and have them illuminated. However in the Air con settings accessible via your VDU, you will find an option for having an auxiliary heating element come on in the A/C system during demist or Hi position heat requests, and his need to be enabled.

I found that doing this demisted my car in just a minute or so, much better than all me previous company cars.

Grease marks on buttons, I treated all my dashboard plastics with 303 Aerospace Protectant, 18 quid for 16floz trigger spray Amazon. Leaves a matt finish that resists UV fade, cracking, dust and fingerprints. I do it once per year on all our cars. I then have a 2 quid microfiber handled duster to swiff around each time I give him a bath.

I use this too - great stuff.

I've only had my Cupra SC for a few days and it rained overnight so was fearing the worst on opening it this morning. I'm not sure if this is due to the 3 door shape but I didn't get any water in the boot at all.

I can't find a menu for climate set up on mine!
