80mm ducting cold air feed on toledo/leon??

after spoting the thread about the intake pipes in this tdi section ive seen people seem to do the r32 dsg mod...

but as im a tightass(lol) i plan to just fit 80mm flexible ducting as many do on mk4 golfs..

question is has anyone actually done this mod on a toledo/leon?? there is no large grill for the pipe to point out of on the golf were as the toledo doesnt...

There's an air duct behind the n/s headlight where that crappy plastic pipe goes to the airbox thats already there. I just bought a 1.5 foot long piece of the same ducting on that thread , removed the standard pipe and put the ducting in place - same effect really as i didnt fancy removing the bumper again.

so basicly all you did was replace the pipe... did u notice much difference, i wouldnt have thought it would be notice as both the airbox end and crappy plastic behind the headlight as still very small which would restrict it...

compared with the mk4 setup which is 80mm striaght from the bumper to the airbox...
