Well I have the ECP, and engine management light on at the moment.

I figured I need to do a throttle rest, so whipped out the old vag com and did the following:

Turn on ignition to stage one
open engine controller
mesuring blocks - 08
block 060 and hit go
click basic settings
wait while it resets
click back to measuring blocks.

I have two queiries.

1. Even after I have done the rest, the ECP and engine light remain.
2. When the pedel is fully depressed, it only reads as 85.2%!

I have tried everything to fix both of these, yet cannot seem to sort it.

Any ideas?

Thanks guys,

Matt

85% is normal huh! How odd... you would have thought 100% would be!

I've done a full scan and the only thing that comes up is bank one below efficiency - which is probably due to the remap is guess?

I'll clear it, whip the battery off for 5mins and see if that gets shot ot the lights.

Hmmm...

Thanks for the quick reply as always bud :)

Just clear the fault - that'll put the light out.. No need for battery disconnect.

Grrr...

Fault cleared - now nothing coming up at all.

ECP and Engine light STILL on.

They are only on at stage one of the ignition, when I start the car the lights go off.

What to do what to do what to do.....

Well i'm stumped. Can't get rid of the two lights at all.

Something must be faulty somwhere, but VAG com isn't giving out anything helpful.

Anyone have some more ideas before I have to give in and visit the stealer?

Mine has always done that, they all light up when you turn the key before ignition on.
