This is gonna sound pretty stupid but i want to find out how it should be before i go drilling any holes n that. Plus i cant find any decent pictures to show it.

Does the 8v spoiler just go at the very top of the boot lid until it hits the vertical flat at the top and wont go any further?? :help:

Dont fancy drilling the holes then finding out they are in the wrong place!?

Bolts through the glass mate:)

Isnt that the 16v spoiler your on about??

The Spoiler i have bolts through the metal of the boot, not the window. I have to drill the holes and all that myself.

I know my spoiler isnt an exact 8v spoiler its a replica and im positive it bolts through the boot. It shows you that you have to drill a hole throught the bootlid and attach it that way.

normal 8 v one bolts through glass same as the 16v one .. if you have an 'aftermarket one , it might be different , but doubt it..

No, i think he could be right brum. I've got an 8v replica & it has 2 bolts on either side. none thru the glass.
Saying that, i havnt fitted mine yet! i was gonna cut the bolts off & just tigerseal it down! ;) eh brummster?

Ive got the bolts to screw into my spoiler after painting, but im gonna trial fit etc before i paint.

It curves and goes over a small section of each of the top corners and the bolts are under the curved section and none of this bit goes onto the glass so im sure on mine that it will bolt through the actual boot lid. I will post up some pics as i go/after i get it fitted.
