I see BP also do RON 102, shame they only do it down south at a handful of filling stations they are trialling it at.

Has anyone tried this stuff yet??

Yes. Its £2.42 a litre, and no difference over V-Power as far as I am concerned.

Other than this one time, I never use BP Super Unleaded as it is always more expensive than Shell V-Power and it has a 2 point lower octane rating.

Having said that, on the various fuel tests I have seen, Tesco 99 seems to be one of the best Super Unleaded fuels and one of the cheapest too.

V-Power or Tesco 99 RON for me all the way. I've always br tell the difference, been very sceptical that you could tell any difference between the 99 and 95RON, and in outright BHP I don't suppose there is more than 5 or so difference. However when on holiday last year I only had access to 95RON for about 10 days and the car felt flat and unresponsive. A handful of tanks of 99RON later and the urgency came back, so it must effect the urgency of how the power is delivered rather than outright BHP

unless a remap can take advantage of the extra timing advances due to the high octane fuel. such as the revo switching ;)

As my car is fairly standard, I would not know that ;)
