Yeah, that's sound proofing. It is surprisingly heavy - a sort of tar like substance soaked into fabric. To remove you need a hot air gun (the thing you strip paint with) - you can get one from B&Q or Argos for about £15. Heat up the soundproofing and scrape it off with a scraper. Be careful not to melt any of the wires in the vicinity as those guns can get quite hot. When you've got most of the stuff off you can clean up with some white spirit or turpentine on a rag to get rid of the last of the tar.

new light for your moerttes will set you back 96 quid !!!!

how do you get it thorough the mot then ive just forked out nearly 200 quid for 2 new low beam lights to get it through the mot
