aha,so rim protectors effectively (not watched the vid yet though) been after some in white in 16" but the other site hadn't come back to me...these may be worth a go...

Silver - makes rims/wheels look larger
Black - hardly dicernable

yeah,the wheel protector site is the one i mailed to ask about white and availablity in 18" for himself but as is the norm these days,no response! hadn't got around to calling them yet...

like you say the alloygator ones have more choice etc

Wheel protector:

Red gold and grey? I would've thought that silver, black and white would be the first colours to start with?:confused:

Alloygator idea is good but I prefer the sounds of a solid ring offered by wheel protector rather than a strip to be cut. If you're particularly fussy then an 'invisible' cut will almost be impossible I reckon.
