mate i would be over the moon if i was you, new gearbox new clutch and new rad just before the warrenty runs out, thats a result. just think if it went after the warrenty you would have been without the car for the same ammount of time but you would have had to pay for it!!

Do u think they are trying to cover every other area before replacing the gearbox? Im presuming that it is an expensive job?

yea gearbox change is going to cost quite alot but hey you already got a free clutch haha i would just say when you go back in you want the car completly checked over because you have lost confidence in the build quality and try and make sure that everything that could go wrong is changed before the warrenty runs out. but if you get a new gearbox you are retty much sorted.

mate i was the same when i picked up my car i had the flu and i just couldn't drive was way to ill i was just sat staring at it out my window for 8 days now that was torment hahaha!!

you haven't heard the worst bit yet since the day i got my big turbo which was about 2 months ago the chassi had snapped where the engine mount connects to the car, so i haven't been able to drive it properly for 2 months since my big turbo, but the problem was i couldn't find out what was causing the noise me, my brothers, seat and jabba couldn't find out what was making the noise. but i finally found out and its in at jabba getting fixed at the moment. so i'm looking forward to getting it and using all 230 bhp without these horrible noises !!! thats evil!!

Well i think ill look on the bright side, but am gunna ask for a full systems check tonight. They can have it aslong as they need. Paranoid now!

lol its best to be sure mate atleast if you get it in writing that they have givven it the once over if something goes wrong you have a come-back on it

Well they have now advised that a new gearbox coudl be the way forward and agreed that the car can have a full systems check! yipeeee!

Ive just had a thought to all this warranty work. wen i bought the car, it had a crack on the offside of the front bumper. Now they say that they cover all bodywork as well as the rest in warranty. Do u think they wud sort that?

Just an update that car now back with seat for the final time. They have pushed for the gearbox to be replaced which there HQ, so all looks good for that be ordered and fitted.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!

Its sorted, and back on the road. ive missed it so much.........but shes back in my hands. i just want it to dry up so i can have abit of traction and put my foot down!
