A3 Strut Brace

Just a quick question, I know a lot of people have the audi S3 upper strut brace on their Leons, does this mean that the audi A3 strut brace will also fit the leon? (I know I'll still need to drill holes in the strut towers for fitting, just wondering if dimensions are the same?)

Yes mate, it fits fine, got one myself, also got the lower one on, but i had that made as its just a bar!!

Sharp drill, good 8.8 tensile strength bolts and your in!

is the a3 same as S3 or have they jacked the price up on the S-line one because its sportier ,

i wud have thought they would quote A3/S3

same as ford puma / fiesta mk4/5 as theyre on the same floor pan

Has one side of the bar got a complete circle, and the other a half circle? As that's what the one's I've been looking at are like. Can't quite tell from your pics!

Mine has full circles. You wont find it on any Mod Websites though. You need an Audi dealer.

Full circles both ends. They are a perfect fit but bit of a pain getting the bolts on as you need to get your arm right up inside the strut tower. If you can get hold of rivnuts they would make it much easyer.

How much are they from an audi dealer?

And if they're only available from an audi dealer, what are the ones I'm seeing on websites and ebay etc. which most seem to be made by FK and are around £30 - £40.

Think i paid about £60 from Audi, part number is 8L9 805 629 A - Audi S3 upper strut brace. All Audi dealers will have, or be able to get you one. Dont know about the ones on ebay? I think the S3/A3 brace looks cool. Worth the extra money.
