ABS Sensor Codes - Help

Think ive sorted this now. lol.

Massive split in the wire from the sensor up to the bodywork, cut it out and rejoined them. Need to clear the codes with vag com and go for a drive before i can say ive completely sorted it.

Sorted. Drove 10 yards and the lights went off. First time in 18 months ive not had a single light on the dash. lmao.

I got the fault today, ABS light on with the fault code 00285. It won't clear at the moment.

Can someone describe where the front ABS (passenger side) sensor actually is?

assume its in the wheelwell somewhere.

Looks like they are cheap to replace anyhow

I need to sort my ABS out - Need to fit another pump & ecu... been through 2 in the last year!...

Evil - ABS sensor is really easy to find - take off your wheel, its behind the brake disk - it has a cable going to it so just follow it down.

I have just changed the sensors on mine and the cable, the sensors were around £30 from GSF and i chopped a wire from another ibiza and soldered it together and insulated it. The light is still on so i am going to vagcom it when i get chance and see what else it could be...

When you take the sensors out they are made of plastic and are welded into the metal i really had to muller mine to get them out with lots of WD40 they were fairly easy to fit once out though!
