ABS, Traction control and handbrake light

This just happened to me - about 2 weeks AFTER getting the ABS module replaced. Any update on yours?

No I've not sorted my problem yet, still got abs light on and handbrake light flashing with 3 beeps on startup.

I will get it checked when I have some time, driving without abs and traction control seems fine, just the lights in the dash are annoying, lol,

I guess it's either the wiring to abs ecu or the abs ecu itself needs replacing

I've literally just had the ABS ECU unit replaced! :-(

I'll ask the garage to check the wiring....

Oh blimey, was it new unit or second hand, did the garage recode the replacement after fitting

It was my original unit - but repaired and modified so if sensor goes again it can be replaced without changing the whole unit.

I decided that was the best option since these units go every 3-4 years and I didn't want to shell out £1200 + again!!

Garage was a SEAT specialist and came highly recommended on here. Have e-mailed them but no reply yet so I'll give them a ring this morning to see what they have to say.

Finally got it sorted today, got a second hand abs pump and ecu fitted, turns out it was the abs ecu, no more flashing lights on dash and abs/ traction control back.

Total cost £180 including fitting
