Accelerator Position Sensor fault codes.... please help!

Hello all...
I have the mk3 ibiza turbo engine in my 2003 polo and I used my original pedal sensor and just connected the seat wiring to it...
Every other day the EPC light would come up on my dash and give me this fault code:
18087 - EPC Warning Lamp (K132) Circuit: Open
P1679 - 35-00 -

And also once in a while I would get no response from the pedal! I would turn the car off and on again and it would be fine for a few days...
But now it goes off every couple of minutes!
FAult codes that came up both on different days..

18047 - Accelerator Position Sensor 1/2 (G79/G185): Implausible Signal
P1639 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

Can anyone help me please!

I thought it was lose wiring but then it wouldnt just work again when I restart the car.

epc engine warning lights on vw golf mk5???????????

hey guess what i really regret buying a vw golf mk 5 after warrenty expired had warning lights coming on the dash board !! first light was epc light secound was engine fault great so took the car down to the garage done a diagnostic cheack which cost around £30 poundz okay i said so whats the problem the problem was the accelarator position sensor had failed so what now? garage man said buy a new one okay how much £100 please and another £60 pounds to fit the part so in whole the job cost me £160 as this part can only be obtained by vw dealership great so that was a £160 injection i had on a monday morning so i say dont even think of buying a mk5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
