Can't tell what your asking, is it "can you adjust the esp settings?" or "the esp cuts in and you push the accelerator pedel but nothing happens, but then a surge of power kicks in."
I should of mentioned its a diesel cupra so doesnt have a throttle body. What I mean is that i have to push the accelerator pedal quite far down before I get the power??? Is this normal?
From the sound of it, you are just talking about lack of response at low revs.....so you stick your foot further down and once you get to ~1800rpm off you go with a whooosh?
Do you get the same thing if you are in 2nd at 30mph and plant your foot? Could just be a bit of turbo lag?
I have just been looking at the accelerator pedal and there seems to be a white strip of plastic that you can move to a different position. What is this?
In my cupra tdi i barely have to touch the accelerator to get it goin, sounds like urs has some issues mate, get your local stealers to have a look at it!
i dunno about you lot but i have notised that if i drive my ibiza steady
when i try to put the hammer down it sort of dosnt want to for a moment or so,
its like it has gotten used to driving steady
my friends fabia is the same too... weird? or design?
Sounds like turbo lag, the turbo has to sppool up before it will deliver full boost! Slowly feed in a bit of power and then give it full beans, this will help you get round it!
