Hey guys. I have a 2015 Leon cupra and wondering 1) if possible to fit digital cockpit and 2) what sort of cost would I be looking at. Cheers.

I am also interested in this, do you have the mib 1 or mib 2 unit?

There are a couple of companies that do the retrofit for a touch under £1000 if I recall correctly. Fairly sure you need the MIB2 headunit if you haven't already though.

Depends on your MIB and what kind of functionality you have.

Being 2015 you will likely only have MIB1. So you will need to upgrade both the glovebox unit and central screen, before getting the Digital Cockpit.

If you are lucky to have got a MY2016 (sold from about Sept 2015) then you will have MIB2, so in that case you can get the Digital Cockpit. However if you want the map view like this...

...then you will still need to upgrade the glovebox unit to a later version of the MIB with a fibre optic cable. But you can still run the digital cockpit without it with nav in the same way you would do now, with just the direction indicators.

So basically if I have mib1 it'll set me back around 2 grand, right?

thank you for your reply.
I’m not entirely sure which I have to be fair! How would I go about finding out?

device part number is 5f0035858a. Is that mib1 or 2?
Can't say from a part number, but a picture of your central screen will tell me.

Either way if you want the map displayed on the Digital Cockpit, you still need to upgrade the glovebox unit, just not the screen. But when you are spending that money its probably worth getting the 8" screen at the same time...

MIB 1 has a 5.5" screen and a MDI connection in the glovebox:

MIB2 has a 6.5" screen (you can just about see the smaller gap between screen and buttons) and a USB and Aux connection under the AC Controls:

In that case before you’ve even got the Digital Cockpit it’s either...

6.5” MIB2 upgrade £495

Or 8” MIB2 upgrade £825

Thanks dude. Could just wait a year or 2 and get a 2018 model. May be easier ?
