It will make more induction noise and may feel like it picks up quicker and smoother. It can only be a good thing really to get rid of the restrictive airbox and piping! The only thing people will say is it might end up sucking hot air in from the rest of the engine bay.

Thats the same filter I use ;) I think its very good for the price.

All logs I have done show its doing a good job on air flow...

On the diesels people tend to use a panel fitler (myself included), because like Mike said a cone will suck in hot air. Also, maybe try a 160 air intake - but try and get a 2nd hand one because new ones are expensive!

All modern turbo engins will not suffer from heat soak from sucking in hot air. What do you think the turbo does? Heats up the air... Thats what intercoolers are for.

cones will pick up air from all around them so it depends on where it is situated as to what temp air it collects

either way it will be warmer to start with than a cold fed airbox so that won't help heat anyway

fit the cone and supply it with a decent cooler air flow and problem solved

I have just picked one up, for the price i think its worth a try. its not that hard to get a flow of cold air to either so not much of a job

Damoegan, did you have any probs with fitting it? or was it a straight forward fitting?

Straight forward mate, straight on to the MAF.

I did make a support to take the weight off it.

do you need to buy any thing else or can i just buy it as it is and find someone to fit it? yes i'm a girl and dont have a clue... lol :D

you don't need to buy anything with it, i fitted mine last night and it fits right on the pipe. The main problem that i had was removing the standard airbox as the strut brace was in the way lol.

Sounds alot better than i was expecting to be honest...so far!

Cheers peeps!
