After the Cambelt was fitted.....

Applying the throttle, the turbo kicked in, reached 3K revs then the drivers side of the engine sounded as if air/pressure (!?) was escaping. Like a woooosh noise but not by choice! Then after 20 mins of driving the noise goes and the the car has no pull in it!
Is this normal after a CamBelt change!? Could they have not re-fitted sumthing correctly?
Should I return my car to the garage to rectify the problem!?

Any help would be great guys

Cheers :)

It sounds like a boost leak so better check the hoses. On the driveres side there are only 2 hoses that I can think of and they are the intercooler - charge pipe hose and the charge pipe - turbo elbow pipe.

Edit: Apologies, I thought we were talking LCR here, please ignore.

After doing the cambelt myself this last week you have to remove the pancake pipe which is behind the drivers side wheel arch liner so i would guess that this has not had the connectors put back properly. The only other boost hose that is interfered with is the pipe connected to the throttle body.
