Air bags

my friends car was in a cat d. all damage has been repaired apart from airbags (drivers & passenger). Anyone on here had to replace these before and how much will it cost. it is only airbags that need fixed. is it a new dash and steering wheel job? Price!!!

You don't say what car... Some need a new dash others don't

Either way new airbags from Seat will be £££

In that case I'm pretty sure you need a new dash, I think the airbag "opening" is moulded into the dash.

can anyone point me in the right direction to get a dash. i am thinking of buying his car but dont want to spend to much.

bump. both my air bags have gone. what do i need to get? obviously 2 new bags and a dash, but do i need new modules and any other stuff.

no the cu has been activated and is now a bin job you HAVE to change bags pretensioners cu and maybe clockspring harness

just one sits on the exhaust tunnel at the front on the floor

ok cool. do you knoe if dash removal is a pain or is it just a load of screws and lift off

Would Strongly Advise That You Have Someone Do The The Job Who Is Trained Fully With The Handling, Fitting And Knowlodge Of Airbags/explosive Devices Fitted To A Car.not A Job For An Amature.
