Air con question

Got in my LC this morning hit the aircon button and it wouldn't come on. Anyone got any ideas what the problem might be?
The symbol comes on the LCD for about half a second and goes out again.
Help!

Yep. It's too cold. Doesn't work when it's less than 5 degrees outside.

Thought this might be a common one this morning, had exactly the same problem. But before that, I turned up the heat and set the blower on full with aircon to clear the screen and the car started beeping like crazy and the temp warning light flashed! I messed myself! Lesson to be learnt, be nice to the car on frosty mornings, and allow a few more minutes to let her warm up.

I thought it was less than 2 degrees..

My air con's off just now as it's too cold (I run it on full hot and cold once a week though)....

yea happened to me aswell for the first time, guessed it was the temp cos after a few minutes it was fine.
