Hi,
I have taken possesion of an alhambra 1998 2.0 petrol auto, 88k
Sometimes it just turns over without firing, if you leave it a while it'll start fine.
I removed the distributor cap and rotor arm (which was just about welded on)
and clean them up, it didnt look like they had ever been off.
Since this, it has started no problem,(2 days anyway) should i get a new dizzy cap and rotor arm anyway?
I have had this problem before with other cars, where there has been a hairline crack in the cap resulting in not starting.
Im just wondering if i am being lead into a false sense of security with this easier fix, or could it be something more sinister, all advice greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.
