All power just died randomly!

Just had a strange problem this afternoon, happened 3 times on my way back from work

Driving at about 30mph and all of a sudden the dials and all ignition lights etc went out, accelerator then had no effect, engine is still making a sound, almost like idle sound

So i bring the car to a stop and as soon as it stops, engine dies

Car started straight away after each time it did this

Did it 3 times in about 4 miles

Ok cant be battery or Alternater related as i have no battery light

Have you checked the battery terminals are tight mate?

The terminals seemed ok to me

Car has been fine so far today so....

Still gonna get it checked, dont want it setting fire or something stupid like that lol
